The immunology research laboratory, founded in 2012 with the establishment of Institute of Zoonosis of Jilin University is an important part of the Institute. At present, there are 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, 3 master supervisors and 10 doctoral and master students.

In the past five years, more than 50 SCI articles and more than 100 core journal articles have been published, 4 national patent authorizations Obtained, 3 university textbooks edited and then published by national publishing houses. The laboratory has also participated in the compilation of 4 national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" textbooks, undertaken more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial-level projects, and over 10 internal school projects with a total funding of more than 4 million RMB. The  laboratory is responsible for the teaching of undergraduate key courses such as Veterinary Public Health, Toxicology, Veterinary Laboratory Biosafety, Pharmacy, Animal Food Microbiology and other key courses of veterinary public health major, as well as a number of master degree courses such as Veterinary Public Health, Research Progress on Microbial Resistance, Antiviral Molecular Pharmacology, Molecular Toxicology, Advances in Veterinary Pharmacology, Introduction to Zoonotic Diseases. More than 40 doctors and masters have graduated from the laboratory, serving important positions in national institutions, universities and enterprises.

After nearly 5 years of hard work by all members, the staff echelon of the laboratory has become more and more reasonable. The laboratory mainly carried out research on the pathogenic mechanism and host response mechanism of zoonotic diseases, inspection and molecular epidemiology.
