The 2011 seminar of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Veterinary Science was hosted by Yangzhou University on the morning of September 6, 2012.

Experts and professors from  the Yangzhou University, School of Veterinary Medicine of South China Agricultural University, School of Veterinary Medicine of Nanjing Agricultural University , Jilin University, Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Research Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou Animal Husbandry and Animal Husbandry of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences ,the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, the Poultry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yangzhou Weike Bioengineering Co.,Ltd.,Yangzhou Youbang Bioengineering Co., Ltd., Nanjing Pharmaceutical Machinery Factory of China Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., and Qingdao Yibang Bioengineering Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

Professor  Liu Mingyuan, Professor Gao Feng, Professor Ding Zhuang, and Professor Liu Zengshan of the Department attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Vice President Fan Jian of Yangzhou University. President Jiao Xinan and Academician Liu Xiufan attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

The purpose of this meeting is to integrate domestic veterinary resources in accordance with the overall requirements of the Ministry of Education's Innovative Capability Enhancement Plan for Higher Education Institutions and to establish a major R&D and application platform with multidisciplinary integration, multi-team collaboration, and multi-technology integration.

The meeting rallies joint efforts to form a technology transfer model of integrated development among government, industry, university, research and application and to deliver a series of landmark achievements, attract and train a batch of top innovative talents so as to comprehensively improve the quality of talent training, scientific research and the ability to serve social and economic development.
