The World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Asia-Pacific Collaboration Center Successfully Completed the Relevant Training for Macao Technicians
From June 25th to 26th, 2018, the OIE Asia-Pacific Foodborne Parasitic Disease Collaboration Center, commissioned by OIE and the Veterinary Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture of China, completed the training of relevant technical personnel of the Civil Affairs Administration of Macau.
In 2015, the center completed the training for the technical staff of the Macau Civil Affairs Administration for the first time, which was recognized and praised. This year, Deng Bailin, a technician from the Laboratory of the General Administration of General Administration, was dispatched for another 2 days and 15 hours of training. The training content mainly includes introduction to the etiology, prevalence, prevention and control strategies and methods of important domestic foodborne parasitic diseases, morphological observation (microscopic examination) of the food-borne parasites Trichinella, Clonorchis sinensis, Cysticatus, Anisakis, Hydatid, Toxoplasma, Cryptosporidium and Giardia at different developmental stages of humans and animals, and standard detection technology.
In accordance with the requirements of OIE and the Ministry of Agriculture of China, this training successfully completed all the established training tasks and achieved good training results through systematic theoretical description and practical operation techniques. Professor Liu Mingyuan, head of the OIE Asia-Pacific Foodborne Parasitic Disease Collaboration Center, Professor Li Jianhua, Professor Yin Jigang, Associate Professor Liu Xiaolei, secretary Wang Yang, Wang Nan, and Li Shicun participated in the training.
